Back into adding and subtracting fractions -- this time with unlike denominators.
We sang the adding song which reminds us (to the tune of Freres Jacques)
What about fractions? What's their action?
Can we add? Is it bad?
Check denominators. Now instead of "later"
That's the rule -- keep your cool.
With an odd batch, when they don't match
Then convert -- just convert
One into the other, both into another
Keep it true -- good for you!
We practiced the left hand column on the handout (Reteach 4-3) in class -- THE ASSIGNMENT
is to conplete the middle column on this same page -- that's items 2,5,8,11,14,17,20 and 23.
I've written to Santa asking for Kleenex and dry erase markers. Hope I've been good.
