Algebra, Wed, Nov 4

We are getting pretty good working with those equation "transformers" -- a tricky skill. We reviewed the even items on ASG p 56 and we turned in our revisited take home quiz (from last Thursday).
I provided a "preview of coming attractions" on the standard form of linear equations -- we then looked at a list and identified which ones were and weren't in this form.
Finally, students received a worksheet that reviews our work on slope (on one side) and slope-intercept form (on the other). We worked one of each of four types on the first side and
THE ASSIGNMENT is to finish this side -- Practice 6-1.
Slope is rise over run, slope is how the y's change over how the x's change, it's the rate of change -- the more ways we know to think about it and calculate it, the better.
