We started by reviewing three decimal division problems.
Next we checked our assignment on ratios and unit rates -- students did so well we had a quick 4 item quiz and only a few students will need to do further review on this topic.
We shared some real-life examples of unit rates from grocery store ads so that students know why this is useful information.
Finally, we did an algebra activity that involves plotting points and connecting them to create a picture. This is a very important basic algebra skill -- and making it into a picture made it interesting. There will be a similar assignment with a more challenging set of instructions later this week.
Tomorrow we head to the computer lab to practice working with fractions. There is no homework today or tomorrow!!
