this was my favorite day in this class for the entire year!!!
We started by drawing a fraction. We shared our drawings -- (one student, KH, had an outstanding linkage of examples to share).
We discussed: who used fractions, what kind of fractions are there, what are the parts of a fraction
finally THE ASSIGNMENT is to complete the even items in the skills handbook section of the text -- which is either p. 771, or 793, or 809 depending on the edition you have.
By student request -- there were also 5 challenging compound fraction problems on the board -- these will be extra credit.
