We spent more time discussing our possible ways to measure the flagpole and decided to try measuring shadows and using similar triagles (and a proportion). Students went outside in small groups to make their measurements -- most got to do this.
Others, in the meantime, completed two group problem-solving challenges which I found on a website created by Cambridge University in England.
Students turned in their assignments (on order of operations and decimals) from Tuesday. There is NO NEW ASSIGNMENT.
