Welcome back!!
We finished preparing our math portfolios for upcoming conferences. I also handed out a basic skills check -- this is similar to the one we did last term. I want to compare their skills and I hope they have improved:) We'll check the answers in class tomorrow so finishing it is THE ASSIGNMENT. There are 44 multiple choice items on 11 different topics.
I also played Roger Miller's song "you can't rollerskate in a buffalo herd" to check on their listening skills -- they were pretty good and figured out all the lyrics after just one or two times through the song. Bonus points for any student who creates their own verse using math information this week.
