Today's class covered three topics: students completed a puzzle with a partner that required them to match up fractions with their lowest term equivalents.
Then we checked our answers on the basic skills test. If there are topics that a student missed two or more out of four items on, I will be following up and helping them work to clear out these "rocks in their path".
Finally, THE ASSIGNMENT is to read the three pages in chapter 7, section 1, on the topic of solving systems of equations by graphing and to attempt the "check understanding" items under each of the four examples.
